The base model comes with a standard 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine that provides up to 285 horsepower, 260 pound-feet of torque, and up to 5,000 pounds of towing capacity when properly equipped. This tried-and-true powertrain is paired with a standard manual transmission on Sport, Sport S, Willys, Rubicon, and Rubicon X trims for a hands-on driving experience that gives you maximum control.
Other gas engines include a 2.0-liter turbo that produces up to 270 horsepower and the ultra-powerful 6.4-liter V-8 delivering a solid 470 horsepower and pound-feet of torque. The former is standard on the Sahara edition, whereas the latter powers the four-door-only Rubicon 392.
